We are delighted with the latest thoughts from the 2024 Halliday Wine Companion on our wines. We have once again been awarded 5 RED STARS, with our 2021 Castle Rock Estate Diletti Riesling awarded 98 points, and ranking second for the Riesling Wine of the Year.
Halliday Wine Companion judge James Halliday described is as:
“Free-run juice is fermented in puncheon and barriques. The bouquet gives hints that are transformed on a palate with an operatic trumpet of flavours circling the ultra-intense core of lime and lemon. One of the most spectacular young Australian rieslings I have encountered. That length, that power. Drink by 2041. 98 Points” James Halliday
Our 2021 Castle Rock Estate ‘Diletti’ Pinot Noir was also commended with 97 Points:
“100% hand picked and whole-bunch fermented. Matured 9 months in old French barriques. It’s an amazing wine, with a palate of extreme intensity and silky length. Cherries, rose petals, mouth-watering savoury tannins, all in balance and harmony. Drink by 2031. 97 Points.” Mike Bennie
